Political and financial elite, which after the Cold War gained power in Western countries and for the last two and a half decades have begun to gradually change in oligarchy of power, losing their footing which among other things is a consequence of unlimited, fast, global access to information owned by citizens of the United States and Europe. Before the Internet era access to information was filtered by the heads of radio, television, newspapers and at the same time was limited primarily to the major newspapers, TV stations of the country and available to customers in other countries. Unlimited access to information was caused by intense, rapid development of Internet which surprised many experts and thus also the mainstream media and the elite in power.
Even in the 90s. we can talk about consensus, which include the largest political parties in various European countries. That consensus has also become a key element of the functioning of the media, which are called mainstream media. Today the Internet allows you to use access to information from any newspaper, TV station from any country and additionally occur new media from news portals to independent journalists. This situation makes, especially citizens of Western countries, free to choose the sources of information and information which they want see. In this way, many citizens on the basis of a completely different world view, which arises as a result of obtaining information from more sources and informations never arise in the mainstream media, stop support consensus built by the power elite or rather believe in consensus built by the elite in power. That consensus is not equally beneficial to all citizens of European countries, although it is always beneficial for the elites in power, and reliable information about the about such elite in power unfavorable decisions lead to rejection by part of such citizens existing power elites.
Seen as a problem, "false information" in fact are not a problem. It is an false issue created only in order to take action to establish a completely new information flow on the Internet that will allow to return to a situation in which the main flow of information will come again from the mainstream media which fully support the consensus of the political elite from the western world countries.
How contrived this problem is can be seen when we look at the history of the world. In the history of the world there was never a time when not only that there was no "false information" but additionally did not attract a large number of recipients. Just to mention the famous "calendar" from the time of the Enlightenment. These "calendars" were guides about anything and everything. They presented various current beliefs about health, fashion, beauty care although a lot of information in them are placed based on the latest knowledge about medicine, technology. At the same time these "calendars" were more prominent than the publications of the greatest thinkers of the Enlightenment, including the famous "Encyclopedia". As we know these "calendars" did not lead to anything wrong apart from the ignorance of some people who drew informations only from such a source.
On the other hand transfer of information control by mainstream media repeatedly led to a situation where presented information, which were merely propaganda or false, even led to wars. In other words, informations presented by the largest media led to negative social behavior, inciting the society to behavior expected by the financial and political elites. Diversification and decentralization of the sources of information is not dangerous even if such diversification leads to a situation when information sources are not reliable because with unreliable information the world has faced for centuries while. The more diversified sources of information is easier to check reliability of information and even unverified information. Unverified information reaches much smaller audience.
What we see is nothing but a war that started the mainstream media with alternative media and new media, primarily online. War concerns financial resources that are dwindling and market position, and at the same time it is a war of political and financial elite, which aims to preserve power, which is only possible through maintaining political consensus, which perpetuated since the end of the Cold War. For this reason, in this false war already enemy is appeared, because without the enemy war is impossible, which is Russia. Russia having suddenly and supposedly so huge financial resources, hacker groups and intelligence services and all the intelligence services of Western countries put together are not able to cope with this threat including the inability to guarantee the integrity f elections. That message has already appeared in the context of Brexit. Currently is distributed in the US and also begins to be information of the day in Germany and will surely be a tool in the other, upcoming election campaigns including France, Netherlands. Russia is of course an authoritarian country, which has its own political and economic interests in conflict with the interests of both western countries and primarily political and financial elites of western countries. At the same time it is a fiction that Russia have possibility of influencing without any control on the media coverage in Internet, the Western media and impact on the election. Russia has some capabilities of such actions but capabilities of Western countries allow largely controlled such activities since they are limited. What we observe is only a typical tactic of building the enemy and then perpetuate the social hysteria. Nomen omen Russia was and is accuse in the same way of creation groups known as progressive and left-leaning liberal as well as for building a radical right-wing groups across Europe and in the USA. In fact, in this war for control of information and lose can only citizens of Europe, who may lose another part of their civil rights as freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom to criticize the government because of desire for greater control of society by the political and financial elite which increasingly change political system in more egalitaran and hence authoritarian.
